First of two Aframax Newbuildings delivered

The first of two ships, newbuilding Affinity V (Tanker for Oil) was successfully delivered on 27 July 2016, directly from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co. in South Korea.

The ship features a revamped hull design and is fitted with modern equipment including a fully automated Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS).

Sister vessel Spirit II is scheduled to be delivered mid-August. The arrival of the two ships will reinforce the company’s presence in the crude oil domain and improve the fleet’s diversity. With these latest additions the fleet features an average age of 6 years.

Commercial and technical management are performed in-house by Transpetrol.
