Transpetrol Shipping Ltd have contracted Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co., Ltd. to build two new oil/product tankers.
The two 115,000 metric tonnes deadweight, Large Range 2 (LR2) category ships will be constructed by Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and are scheduled to join the fleet during the second quarter of 2026.
Following the sale of two 2009-built vessels in 2022, this latest move will allow the company to maintain its appealing fleet profile.
