Transpetrol has a long-standing reputation of complying with rules and regulations. All of us, onboard and ashore, will always act professionally and with integrity, whatever we do and wherever we go. As a Company, we will not engage in any form of Bribery or Corruption.
We all realise that our ship and shore staff occasionally get confronted with requests for payments or gifts from “officials” and/or “authorities” and it has been our standard policy to decline such requests (obviously without endangering the safety of the crew and the vessel!). Transpetrol and the maritime industry at large will, in the long run, only be successful and become sustainable, when Bribery and Corruption are eliminated.
This can only be achieved if the industry as a whole and collectively fights corruption. We are therefore pleased to inform you that Transpetrol has become a member of MACN, the Marine Anti-Corruption Network (see: www.macn.dk), a global network organization that is working towards a corruption free maritime industry. Many other shipping companies are member too and we trust that together we can achieve our goal.
